These Use Best Weapon Skill (UBWS) weapons are very flexible. They allow you to use weapons that are not for your same melee class. For example if you have Fencing on your Warrior but you want to use a Katana which is a swordsmanship weapon, you normally would not be able to. If the weapon has UBWS you can! It only works for melee classes such as Swordsmanship, Mace Fighting, and Fencing. It used to spawn on bows but it was never usable.
